08:00AM Tour guide and driver pick up you at Phu My or Lotus Port transfer to Cuchi district for visiting village underground during the American War. It’s about 2,5 hour drive to get there. Along the way, tour guide will explain you the real life of the region that you pass by and its historical event. On the way, we will drive through pleasant countryside, stop for photo at rubber plantations
The tunnel network of Cu Chi was constructed by Vietnamese resistance fighters (Viet Cong) during both the French and American wars. Upon arrival at the tunnels, learn more about the American war and the history of the tunnels through a video presentation and then take the opportunity to explore parts of this extensive underground tunnel system, which was several stories deep and included shelters, hospitals, sleeping quarters, kitchens, meeting rooms and innumerable trap doors.
Lunch and short sightseeing in Saigon through French colonial buldings. You will stop to take photo at Post office, Notre Dam Cathedral and Ben Thanh market for shopping (if time permits) before driving back to Phu My Port/Lotus Port
3:45pm your guide and driver bring you back to the ship for leaving off (2 hour drive)
